Holiday serving

This Christmas season, we want to partner with some great local organizations that are making a difference in our city to show students and families how much they are loved and valued. Check out the following opportunities to get involved!

Join an afternoon of Christmas music, arts, & crafts with the high school boys from Depaul Academy on Saturday, Dec. 16, from 3-5 p.m.

Facilitate the Christmas Store for families of Transformation Ministries students. Help with SETUP on Thursday, Dec. 7, from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. (for middle schoolers accompanied by parents, or older) or help with the STORE on Saturday, Dec. 9, from 4-8 p.m. (adults only).

Space is limited for these serve opportunities, so email Ryan Yazel at right away if you are interested!

Holiday giving

Here are some special ways we’re hoping to financially invest in our community, city, and world, this holiday season.

Hospitality: We brew, on average, 5 lbs. of coffee per week. A second brewer will help our hospitality team keep the stream of caffeine flowing. Additional storage space is also needed for hospitality supplies.

Children: Help us improve our service to children & families by furnishing the northwest lobby and adding equipment to our children’s ministry classrooms.

Marquette Primary Montessori Academy is an SBCSC school having a positive impact in our city. Many families struggle to pay the fees to fund the Montessori experience, leaving teachers to cover costs or students who miss out on valuable learning. We would like to encourage those teachers, empower those students, and relieve those parents by paying off any outstanding classroom fees.

World Vision Rapid Response Fund: With your support, World Vision will be equipped to help meet the most urgent refugee needs in Syria and Iraq.

Podcast: Our podcast has been downloaded almost 24,000x, & most of those have come from outside Ind. & Mich. They’ve come from all over the US, & places around the world like the UK, the Netherlands, & the Philippines. We will purchase equipment to optimize our podcast recordings.

Together, we are setting a goal of $25,000 for this year’s Christmas offering. If you would like to contribute, please select the “Christmas 2017” fund online, or designate checks to “Christmas.”
