Welcome to the fourth installment of the weekly reflection and meditation for our current series: Everyone an Icon. We invite you to pause for a few moments this week to reflect on a question and meditate on a passage as they relate to the idea of GRACE.
Reflection: What would it take for you to believe you have nothing to prove to God?
Meditation: The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside still waters, he restores my soul… surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. (Psalm 23 abbreviated)
If you want to take this reflection and meditation a step further, consider the following questions:
When you think of God, do you imagine that God is for you and that God loves you?
If this is not what you imagine when you think of God, what other feelings or images come to mind?
Is your posture toward others easily gracious or is it hard for you to extend grace to others?
If it’s hard for you to extend grace, why do you think that is?
