|Winter amnesty opportunities
This winter, we once again have the opportunity to spend some time connecting with our neighbors who seek shelter at the Weather Amnesty Center downtown. These simple relational interactions are vital in combatting the social isolation of homelessness for our friends who find themselves in vulnerable situations this winter.
We have reserved the 2nd full week of December through March for SBCC volunteers. Each night (Tuesday through Sunday, 7:15-9 p.m.) that week, we have the opportunity for 5-7 people (max 10) to participate.Sign up individually or with your family, friends, or Table group! Kids aged 12+ are welcome to join with a parent/guardian.
How you can contribute: 1) bring some simple snacks; 2) share a brief encouragement; and 3) hang out with our neighbors through conversation, playing games, etc. See the info sheet for more information or to sign up!
