In June, we’re offering two events to help create safe spaces for LGBTQ+ people. While both of these events are open for “walk-ins”, we would love for you to RSVP so we have an idea of how many people to expect.
On Tuesday, June 13, at 7:00p, we’re inviting anyone looking to learn more about how to be an ally or advocate for LGBTQ+ people to join us at Studebaker 112. We’ll hear from a panel of LGBTQ+ people and allies in the SBCC family, and you’ll have a chance to submit questions for them.
If you’re looking for help to sort through questions surrounding the Bible and theology related to LGBTQ+ identity and inclusion, we encourage you to explore the two teachings we’ve had to explicitly talk about these topics: A Sacred Conversation: Sexuality, and Male and Female God Created them…. This night is intended for other types of questions that come from walking with LGBTQ+ people and learning how to love well.
Register for the June 13th panel night HERE.
And on Tuesday, June 27, at 6:00pm, we’re hosting a table night for our LGBTQ+ members. Come enjoy this time as a safe space for you to share a meal and connect with your fellow SBCC LGBTQ+ family. Our lead pastor will be with us, too. Location will be communicated upon RSVP.
