Easter Sunday & Good Friday gatherings

Share

Upcoming gatherings: Easter & Good Friday
We hope you'll join us! GOOD FRIDAY 12:15 P.M. ON FRIDAY, APRIL 15 - EASTER 9 & 11 A.M. ON SUNDAY, APRIL 17

We’ll be gathering on Good Friday, April 15, at 12:15 p.m., for a 30-minute gathering featuring the eucharist. Kids are welcome to attend this special gathering as well (no kids’ ministry classrooms will be open). Our Easter gatherings will be at our usual gathering times (9 & 11 a.m.) with a coffee & snack hour on the west lawn (weather-permitting) between gatherings. While our gatherings and classrooms are mask-optional, we will continue to require masks in the mezzanine area. We hope to see you Easter weekend as we conclude the lenten season and celebrate baptisms on Easter Sunday!

Update: The Tribune Project

Here is our latest financial update on The Tribune Project, which we shared this weekend in gatherings! The pledged giving total is now $920,780, with 34 individuals and families contributing to these pledges toward our goal of $3 million.

Some reminders about The Tribune Project:

  • Deadline for 2-year giving commitments to The Tribune Project is Sunday, April 10. (This is not the deadline for contributing funds but simply the date we will start compiling the total pledges we’ve received in order to make a more specific plan for building renovations.)
  • We’ll come together to celebrate the pledged funds, baptism, and Easter on Sunday, April 17.
  • You can find all the details about the project and the latest updates on our new home page at southbendcitychurch.com.
DID YOU KNOW? Your contributions to The Tribune Project could be made directly from an IRA without penalties. There are also other ways to contribute creatively with added tax benefits to you. If you’d like to learn more, please contact us at info@southbendcitychurch.com, and we’d be happy to connect you with some financial advisors in our community who have volunteered their time and expertise to assist in this way.
Don’t forget! Our lead pastor Jason Miller will be live again tomorrow (Thursday, March 31) at noon EDT on Instagram to tackle some of the questions we’ve received about this project.
