[TEACHING] The Sermon on the Mount (wk 20) – Matthew 7:24-29

Jason Miller

In the final words of the sermon on the mount, Jesus tells us that he actually intends us to apply the things he said. But why trust a vision of life that runs so counter to our instincts for safety, security, and self-preservation? At the beginning of today’s podcast, you will also hear some updates on the Tribune Project. As we come to the final week of commitments for the Tribune Project, we’re at a fork in the road, with a a couple of different possible futures ahead for the project. If you’d like to know where we stand and how you can help, check out the brief update from our lead pastor,  Jason Miller. If you’d like to make a commitment to give to the project over the next two years, head to southbendcitychurch.com. Finally, near the end of the podcast you’ll hear Jason invite our community to the table. If you’d like to participate in the Eucharist with us, have some kind of bread or crackers and wine or juice ready.
