St. Margaret’s House, our neighbor and partner downtown, is a day shelter serving 1,000 women and children in our city each year. Throughout the year, we support St. Margaret’s House as they affirm the dignity of women and children by providing a safe space and meeting basic needs here in South Bend. But this year, we have an opportunity to witness the power of their work firsthand.
On Sunday, February 15th at 1p, we’re joining them for their annual Winter Walk to raise funds and awareness for their incredible work. They hold this event in the middle of winter in solidarity with women whose everyday means of transportation is their feet, regardless of the weather. This year, the one-mile route loops through downtown South Bend and ends at The Tribune with a warm-up celebration including cookies, hot cocoa, popcorn, Silk Creations Pop-up Shop, and plenty of fun for all ages. We hope you’re able to add this on to your Sunday morning plans this year!
Be sure to dress warm and register!
