The latest COVID-19 gathering updates

An update on in-person gatherings
In light of what we are hearing about hospital capacity and severe breakthrough cases as well as overall Covid numbers climbing, we’re going to fully masked gatherings until further notice – regardless of vaccination status. This change will be effective for this Sunday’s gatherings, our Christmas Eve candlelight gatherings, and continuing when we resume in the New Year.

Please take a look at the special message from our lead pastor, Jason Miller, on the upcoming changes to our in-person gathering protocol.

Some things to note with this change:

– Masking will be required for everyone inside the building – in kids’ classrooms and adult gatherings
– The mezzanine will remain an option for those who wish to be more physically distanced, and masks are also required there.
– Coffee will still be served, and everyone should remain masked unless actively drinking.

Our goal in this decision, and all other decisions throughout the pandemic, is to live out our mantra “Everyone an icon” to value and protect those who are most vulnerable in our community.

If you have any questions or would like to give feedback on this decision, please reach out at info@southbendcitychurch.com – we would be grateful to hear from you!

Christmas 2021 giving

Each year at Christmas, we express gratitude as a community by giving from our financial resources together toward several initiatives. Here are this year’s categories that we are hoping to fully fund by reaching our giving goal of $75,000. We’ll be talking through each of these initiatives in more detail during our gatherings this month, but if you have any questions, you can always email info@southbendcitychurch.comIf you would like to contribute to our Christmas offering, please designate your checks with “Christmas 2021” (in gathering or by mail to: P.O. Box 1578, South Bend, IN 46634) or select the “Christmas 2021 Fund” online.
